Luke Brookner is a writer-director based in East London, working across comedy and commercials. A graduate of MetFilm School, his work is shaped by observation, character, and humour.

With a performance-led approach, Luke makes comedy rooted in instinct, truth, and character — working closely with talent to find the nuance, timing, and spontaneity that uncover something honest, human, and often a bit awkward. Balancing crafted visual storytelling with naturalism, his films feel sharp, real, and culturally in tune.

His work has been recognised by the Berlin Commercial, Ciclope Festival, Kinsale Sharks, Aesthetica Short Film Festival, and he was nominated for Best Director at the British Arrows for Heirlooms.
